Account Type & RegionUse the Account Type and Region buttons to choose the correct account type and region. In the United States, choose Authorize.Net and “United States, USD ($)”. If you don’t have an account yet, you can try Credit Card Terminal by choosing “Try It Out (No Account)”. API Login IDThe API Login ID comes from your Authorize.Net account. To find it:
Entering this value manually can be frustrating. Instead, we recommend installing the iPhone OS 3.0 update and using Copy/Paste. Transaction KeyThe Transaction Key comes from your Authorize.Net account. If you already have software that uses Authorize.Net, you should be able to find it in the configuration for that software. If Credit Card Terminal is the first application to use your account, or if you’ve lost your transaction key, you can get a new one: Getting Your Transaction Key. Entering this value manually can be frustrating. Instead, we recommend installing the iPhone OS 3.0 update and using Copy/Paste. Test ModeIf you turn this switch on, you can run transactions against Authorize.Net, but they won’t actually do anything. This is useful for training others to run transactions, or for checking your cellular network reception at a sales venue. In test mode, use the Visa number 4111 1111 1111 1111. CP AccountIf this option is ON, Credit Card Terminal uses the CP API instead of the regular AIM API for processing transactions. This should only be enabled if you have a CP account instead of a CNP account from Authorize.Net. If you have this switch in the wrong position, you will receive an error about “market type” (error code 85 or 87). Test Your AccountTapping this button runs a test transaction to determine if you have configured your account correctly. If there’s an error, you’ll be able to email it to us for help. Device NameIf you choose to specify a device name, it will be included in the Invoice Number with each Authorize.Net transaction. The Invoice Number field is used because you can filter reports based on it through the Authorize.Net Merchant Interface (MINT). Developer ServerOnly turn this switch on if directed by technical support. Beanstream (Canada) SettingsBeanstream requires the Merchant ID, Username, and Password. These values are available through the Beanstream merchant interface. Entering these values manually can be frustrating. Instead, we recommend installing the iPhone OS 3.0 update and using Copy/Paste. PayPal Website Payments Pro (UK) SettingsPayPal Website Payments Pro requires the API Username, API Password, and API Signature. You’ll want to look at PayPal’s step-by-step instructions for getting those values. Entering these values manually can be frustrating. Instead, we recommend installing the iPhone OS 3.0 update and using Copy/Paste. |
